Greed

Yay for class work, for this we had to draw up and illustration for one of the 'seven deadly sins' using dramatic one source lighting, allegory, and involves contemporary issues. This may seem like glutiny, but when you think about whats going on its more about how greed is 'all consuming' and the earth (mankind) is propelling itself into the mouth of greed. I belive that its part of mankinds weekness to want more then need which causes wars, and depletes natural resources, and will eventually destory us. Even if that want is to live easyer, theres usually a negative concequence in either corner cutting or using something that someone else already has. Even keeping something the best or most powerful at is not just pride but greed. If you wanted to really look at it you could say that the burning rocket has to do with what we are doing to ourselves and where we are going. Any way you look at this, or any artwork your bound to find meaning in lots of different areas of it. So for the mean time, just look at it and laugh.
