Very cool design, but a little technical remark, (I'm sorry the engineer in me takes over), your Jet Engines look like they have an air intake, which is ideal for flying through an atmosphere, not so much for flying in space where there is no air. Otherwise this is a great design for a fighter.

(Late reply, I know)

They could be dualies: the air intakes make its flight more efficient in the atmosphere, then change to act as radiators in space.

Perhaps they are not intakes but surfaces and areas designed for radiating heat?  That seems fairly likely with such large engines.

Now that I look closely, it's not all THAT similar, but at first glance this reminded me of the Serenity.

Must be the tail-end.

Nice starfighter!! It reminds me of the sort of craft seen in anime like Super Dimension Fortress Macross (and the US version- Robotech) - the funny thing is that I'm too young to have grown up with those shows, and yet I find classic anime mecha and spacecraft designs impressive enough I have been influenced by them. :) They had really SERIOUS mechanical design going on. Two of my favorite spacecraft from Macross are the SF-3A Lancer II Space Fighter and its carrier platform, the ARMD space cruisers. I was very impressed to see an ARMD space cruise maneuver in space by firing side-and-fore mounted engine clusters to thrust sideways, just like a real spacecraft- the spacecraft designer's attention to detail made the space battle seem very real.

Well ... This bring back memories of the 80' and 90'.
I remember when I read old artbooks of anime from back then and they had this revolutionary if not crazy design for mecha and machinery.
This one really really bring back sweet memories

Even though I'm more of a "star wars" kid, pretty much all my recent ships are anime influenced, they had some SERIOUS industrial design going on. I think the Macross Valkyrie fighters are one of the best designed things from the 20th century period. Thanks to the internet.. I can make up for not having all those artbooks...

I can't but agree with you 100% chap.
When I saw for the first time Robotech (that how it was called here in italy), I was completely sold on how cool that stuff looked and transformed
