like how it come out I think it isn't much LOTR just ancient ruins in a canyon... I got also a bit interested in the title as I have on my worldbuilding "Gor'li Dimension" project a river valley or canyon which has relation to the origins of the races on that planet. Even that valley is the beginning of the accessible part of the "River of Time" starting with a huge giant waterfall and some very old cave monasteries on the side walls. also one sidewall were the waterfall come down is a high range wich enclose one side of the "Forbidden Triangle"/"Forbiden Land" wich is the real birthplace and origin of the planets culture
sorry that I just commented with things your picture remind me in my mind about things flying around in my strange thoughts. But it is all I just fell with the picture so its hard to be focused on technical things or how you done the colors and so on but maybe it will give you some other new imaginations , who know.
